Audi is launching an ultra-limited special edition of its cool and powerful S3, one that’s specific for the U.S. market. First reported by our pals at the Audi enthusiast website Fourtitude, Audi of America has created an Exclusive Edition package that includes colorful paint and interior trim—at a whopping $57,250 or $59,900, depending on the color choice. This pricing will likely keep a lid on demand, which is okay since Audi is limiting the run to a mere 25 units in total.

Five cars each will be painted in the currently available S3 colors Misano Red or Sepang Blue; these are the less expensive versions. The pricier units, also built in a quantity of five each, are painted in Vegas Yellow, Viper Green, or Glut Orange, colors that are currently not available on the S3.

Given that the special models include the Prestige package, the Performance package with 19-inch wheels, and S Sport seats, the price premium isn’t as high as it may seem. While the cheapest S3 costs $41,100, a similarly equipped car will set you back $50,500. The extra $6750 buys body-colored inlays inside, an extended leather package, and extreme exclusivity; its then an additional $2650 for the non-S3 paint.

We like the exclusive character of this edition, and we suspect that these cars could become collector’s items. If you miss the boat on nabbing one, get in touch with Audi. Their Exclusive program is always available, and they’ll do your S3 in any color you desire. But the final tab for going your own way could make these limited-edition models seem like a bargain. Now, head over to Fourtitude for more images and info.
