GMC’s Acadia, long a popular option in the three-row crossover segment, has inherited the same 4G LTE data connection spreading through General Motors’ portfolio for 2016. That means every Acadia comes equipped with GM’s OnStar telematics hookup—the 4G LTE connection is embedded with OnStar—as well as Wi-Fi hotspot capability, joining fellow GM Lambda-chassis products such as the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse in the 4G-connected sphere.
Besides 4G LTE, the 2016 GMC Acadia’s only other changes are color-related, with two new colors joining the crossover’s palette: Ebony Twilight metallic and White Frost. The Acadia otherwise is the same as it’s been since inheriting the discontinued Saturn Outlook’s bodywork. That means a 3.6-liter V-6 making between 281 and 288 horsepower, a six-speed automatic, and front- or all-wheel drive. Pricing for the 2016 Acadia has yet to be announced, but we don’t anticipate major changes from the 2015 model’s $34,900 starting ask.
