Brabus Sunseeker Limited Edition

German tuner Brabus solidified its partnership with British yacht builder Sunseeker London Group earlier this year by opening up a joint flagship store in one of Germany’s fanciest shopping districts. As a proverbial ribbon-cutting, the two collaborated on a special project to exhibit the ethos of each company. The result is the Brabus Ultimate Sunseeker Limited Edition One of Ten.

As two purveyors of specialized luxury products, Brabus and Sunseeker opened their shared “KÖ90” shop in Königsallee 90 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The space will act as both a showroom and an ordering house for the companies. Known for wild builds such as the 850-hp Mercedes-AMG S63 and the 888-hp Mercedes-AMG G65, Brabus also has plenty of experience tuning Smart cars, as we’ve seen with projects like the Ultimate 125. As it does with many of its products, Brabus is building the special-edition Ultimate Sunseeker in limited quantities, this time only 10 examples.

Brabus Sunseeker Limited Edition

Based on the Smart Fortwo cabriolet, a little car with little appeal, the Sunseeker edition gets a little bigger and gains a little more appeal. Brabus gave it one of its signature Widestar body kits with redesigned front and rear fascias. Dressed in a beautiful metallic blue Midnight Sapphire paint, the Sunseeker sits on forged 18-inch monoblock wheels and features naked carbon-fiber accents. The partnership for the vehicle is denoted with silver Sunseeker badges, silver graphics, and a silver compass logo on the rear pillar.

Inside, the yacht theme intensifies. The seats, dash, and doors are covered in ivory leather, and the stitch pattern on the seats and seat backs suggests open water. The centerpiece is the cabin floor, which has been laid with teak wood, as has the cargo floor. A compass shows up again on the center armrest, and the headrests are embroidered with the Sunseeker logo. More carbon fiber, a two-tone steering wheel, and metal-trimmed pedals complete the interior.

Unlike many limited-run Brabus vehicles, this Smart is not already sold out—likely because of the price: 59,900 euros (more than $70,000). Interested parties can see and purchase the Brabus Sunseeker at the new flagship store, one of Sunseeker’s outlets, or at the upcoming boot Düsseldorf water-vehicle trade show.
