It’s true that what was good for Stereo MCs is good for the Buick Enclave, and so for 2016, Buick’s large three-row crossover gets itself connected—via the 4G LTE data connection proliferating throughout General Motors’ product portfolio. First introduced on Chevrolets last year, the built-in data connection—with its own AT&T data plan—works via the General’s OnStar telematics system to deliver 4G LTE internet speeds to occupants’ devices over WiFi.
In the Enclave, the 4G LTE WiFi hotspot can support up to seven connected devices, and the data link comes standard with OnStar. The 4G LTE capability is standard, and a three-month, 3-GB trial connection is included. A monthly data plan is required to continue using the service after the free goods run out. We’re guessing the feature is sure to please parents that often schlep a carload of kids around; just stick a tablet in front of the little monsters and keep ‘em occupied, right?
