Top Gear is one of our favorite shows ever, and so of course we love seeing cars driven by the cast become available to the public. Just yesterday, we announced that this McLaren F1 racecar, which was sponsored by Top Gear back in 1997, is for sale, but that thing is millions of dollars. What we have here should be considerably more affordable: a 1996 BMW M3 Evo driven by Richard Hammond in the show’s Sport Saloon Challenge.

As usual, the episode was packed with all sorts of funny surprises, principle among them a discovery that this M3 had suffered serious crash damage. We don’t expect that fact to dissuade buyers however, because this is a genuine piece of Top Gear memorabilia. If you want to raise a paddle, get yourself to Silverstone, England in June, when Classic Car Auctions will roll this thing across the block.
