When we first introduced you to Tanner Foust’s all-new Rockstar Energy Formula Drift Volkswagen Passat, we said it’d likely “spend its life sideways.” And sure enough, the 900-hp family sedan’s existence is already a smokey, sideways, hellacious tale, as evidenced by a new video depicting Foust giving pro cyclist Tim Johnson a “tour” of the USA Cycling Time Trials course in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As best we can tell, the loose tie-in between Tanner Foust’s ridiculous sedan and cycling is that the Time Trials route appears to run right by the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga. Other than that, we’re guessing this video is just an excuse for Volkswagen to show off its support of cycling in gratuitous burnout/drifting form. Enjoy:
