What’s New for 2018?
The biggest news for 2018 is the introduction of the Sport model, which borrows the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 from the larger G90. This engine makes 365 horsepower and rocketed the G80 from zero to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds in our testing. Unique copper-colored exterior and interior trim, dark 19-inch wheels, and aggressive front and rear lower-bumper elements add visual swagger and help to differentiate the Sport from the more luxury-oriented G80 models. The G80 Sport’s standard adaptive suspension provides an athletic driving experience while preserving the G80’s supple ride. The standard G80 receives a refreshed front grille, bumper, and headlamps, along with a new 18-inch wheel design. Enhancements to the interior include revised gauges, a new shift knob, redesigned speaker grilles, new genuine-wood trim options, and a new analog clock. On the technology front, there’s an additional USB port, bringing the count to two.
