Lexus is celebrating 10 years of F-branded performance vehicles by showing off special editions of its GS F and RC F at the Chicago auto show. The two limited edition models were first unveiled at last year’s Tokyo auto show, where Lexus announced it would build a combined total of 500 GS F and RC F 10th anniversary edition models for Japanese consumption.
Lexus, however, will send just 340 10th anniversary edition models to our shores: 240 RC F coupes and 100 GS F sedans. Like their Japanese counterparts, both cars wear a coat of Nebula Gray matte-finish paint and ride on a set of black wheels wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. Blue brake calipers tie the special edition models’ exteriors to their interiors, which include blue carbon fiber accents, blue leather trim throughout the cabin, and heavily bolstered blue leather seats with white accents.
Like the standard RC F and GS F, the special-edition models are motivated by a 467-hp 5.0-liter V-8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Pricing has yet to be announced, but expect Lexus to charge a premium over the standard RC F and GS F, which start at $65,645 and $85,345, respectively.
