For 2020, the Santa Fe XL will be dropped, but buyers will be able to get a third row in the new Santa Fe when they order the diesel engine scheduled for that time frame. (Kia previously confirmed the arrival of a diesel Sorento for 2019, so a Hyundai diesel is not much of a stretch.) Somewhat simultaneously—the timeline is still not confirmed—the larger, three-row vehicle spied here will arrive to take its place atop the Hyundai SUV hierarchy. With the starting price of the current Santa Fe hovering around $32,000, the base MSRP for the new, larger three-row entry should command roughly $5000 more to start.
