Corporate espionage: Two more arrested by police - Times of India

NEW DELHI: ​Broadening the ambit of their investigation, the crime branch on Thursday arrested two more people in the corporate espionage case.

First, the crime branch arrested Jitendar Nagpal, personal assistant to a joint secretary in forest and environment ministry.


Later, Vipan Kumar, PA to a UPSC member, was also arrested by police on Thursday.


The arrested person, Jitendar Nagpal, was passing sensitive documents to arrested consultant Lokesh Shama who was arrested earlier.


The cops claim he had links in other ministries as well from where he got the documents and passed on.


With this total arrests have reached to 15 and the number of compromised ministries to 5. Earlier, cops had found leaks from petroleum, coal, power and defence.


Crime branch had picked up the two staffers of ministries in a late night operation.
