Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan over its claim that only non-state actors were involved in terror acts targeting India.
"Is the ISI (Pakistan's intelligence agency) also a non-state actor?" Rajnath said adding that official organisations in Pakistan too were involved in promoting cross-border terrorism and destabilising India
Home Minister Rajnath Singh also said the militant outfit ISIS was proving a major challenge to the government as some youth were swayed by its ideology.
"There are some misguided youth who are getting attracted to join organisations like the ISIS," Rajnath said at a meeting of state police chiefs in Guwahati.
The home minister's remark comes a day after one among the four ISIS recruits from Mumbai, Areeb Majeed, returned home after escaping from the militants in Iraq.
Rajnath also said the government was not taking lightly al Qaeda's threat to turn India into an Islamic country adding that security forces were capable of facing any challenge
