Scuf Forza Elite Controller

A couple of years ago, Microsoft partnered with Ford to bring one-off GT40-themed Xbox One controllers to SEMA. Undoubtedly, avid Forza fans with Blue Oval loyalties ached for the things, but they were regrettably left to craft their own with some Tamiya paint and a roll of striping tape. Now Scuf, the aftermarket gaming-peripherals supplier, has leapt into the fray with Porsche 911 GT2 RS–inspired controllers. Like the car that lends its design cues to them, they’ll cost you a pretty penny.

Retailing for $300, the Scuf Forza Elite controller is, according to the company, hand-built at its facility in Atlanta, a city which also happens to be home to Porsche Cars North America. Finished in silver with red and black racing stripes, carbon-fiber accents, and the Porsche and Forza logos, the controller features handles covered in hand-stitched microsuede and comes with a custom case as well as a variety of thumbsticks to customize the unit’s fit and feel to your hand size and gaming style.

If limited-edition die-casts are your thing, Scuf is also offering a bundle for 70 bucks more that includes a 2018 GT2 RS model emblazoned with the Scuf Gaming and Forza logos. They’ll only be selling 500 of those packages, while the stand-alone controllers will be limited to 2000 units. Sales begin next month. The super hard-cores among you undoubtedly will be in contact with Porsche Exclusive, inquiring as to factory decal application prices. After all, if you can’t spec your car to match the toy that came with your gaming controller, what good is the car?
