The Buick Cascada Sport Touring, or ST, is adding a second paint choice to its color palette with its new Sport Red paint. Unveiled at the 2016 Los Angeles auto show, the Sport Red Cascada ST complements the previously announced True Blue Cascada ST.
Limited to an initial batch of 150 units, the Sport Red Cascada ST further differentiates itself from its blue brother courtesy of an exclusive Dark Effects package that finishes the droptop’s grille, mirror caps, and 20-inch wheels in gloss black. Meanwhile, the Sport Red’s interior features red stitching on the seats, door panels, and dashboard.
Look for the first run of Sport Red Cascada STs to arrive in February 2017, with more cars to follow later in the year. While Buick didn’t release pricing information for the Sport Red Cascada ST, the True Blue Cascada ST costs $37,990—$560 less than a base Audi A3 cabriolet and $1955 less than a base BMW 230i convertible. Cheapskates hoping that Sport Red or the Dark Effects package will find their way onto less pricey Cascadas will be disappointed: A Buick spokesperson confirmed that the brand has no immediate plans to expand the color or package’s availability to other Cascada trims.
