After three years, Nissan’s current-generation Sentra compact sedan has gone in for a mid-life nip-and-tuck. (We covered its changes in full when the new model debuted earlier this year.) The result is a Sentra that now resembles a shrunken 2016 Nissan Maxima. Nissan also lent the interior some nicer materials. The 2016’s dose of style relative to the 2015 model adds just $250 to the base Sentra S’s base price, raising it to $17,615. The other four Sentra trim levels see increases ranging from $250 to $1450. Below is model-by-model pricing for the 2016 Sentra:

Sentra S: $17,615 (+ $850 for the optional CVT); standard equipment includes a six-speed manual transmission, air-conditioning, cruise control, a four-speaker audio system, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and chrome trim.

Sentra FE+S: $18,865; this being the Sentra lineup’s high-efficiency model, it comes with the CVT standard, as well as a lip spoiler, low-rolling-resistance tires, and underbody aero bits. For 2016, the FE+S’s price is $250 greater than last year.

Sentra SV: $19,385; adds as standard equipment the CVT, a 5.0-inch infotainment display, six audio speakers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, proximity key, sliding front armrest, and a rear center armrest. The 2016 SV is $200 more expensive than before.

Sentra SR: $21,245; adds as standard equipment rear disc brakes, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a body kit, automatic headlights, fog lights, heated front seats, rear cupholders, pushbutton ignition, and seatback storage pockets. The SR’s price rises $450 over last year.

Sentra SL: $23,005; adds as standard equipment heated door mirrors with turn signal indicators, dual-zone automatic climate control, HomeLink garage door opener, leather seats, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert. The 2016 SL sees the greatest price increase over its 2015 model-year sibling, commanding a $1450 premium.

The 2016 Sentra reaches dealerships today, so if the above news motivates you strongly, you can rush out to your dealer right now.
