Mulayam to work for merger of Janata Parivar, joint protest on Dec 22 - Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has been authorized to lay the ground work for the merger of erstwhile Janata Pariwar parties in a meeting held on Thursday.

The parties have decided to stage a united protest in Delhi on December 22 against govt's failure on the issue of black money and promises made to the farmers, JD(U) leader and former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said after the meeting.


Leaders of opposition parties who met at the residence of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav resolved to fight together against the government, both within Parliament and outside.


Nitish Kumar said the parties will work together on issues of concern.


The meeting was attended by leaders of RJD, JD(U), INLD, Samajwadi Party, JD(S).
