Who was high, and who was low in 2014's performance metrics.


Performance is everything—after all, we don't test hundreds of cars every year for the fun of it. (Okay, it is pretty fun.) Naturally, we keep track of the numbers put down by each car we test, which makes for interesting end-of-year fodder. Keep in mind that this analysis applies only to cars we gathered hard performance numbers on—cars we merely drove but weren't able to test don't count. Which was quickest? Which was the slowest? Which stopped the shortest? Which got the worst fuel economy? Which was the costliest? The answers to these questions and more are here, in our compilation of 2014's best and worst performers:
