Just because the Chiron is hogging the spotlight these days doesn’t mean Bugatti has forgotten about its older child, the Veyron. More important, it hasn’t forgotten about the people who own Veyrons. To encourage them to keep their supercars in tip-top shape, Bugatti is introducing what it calls the Loyalty Maintenance Program (LMP).

Building on the company’s Extended Warranty and Extended Warranty Plus programs, which can reach up to 15 years of coverage, the LMP is intended to reduce operating costs for owners, according to Bugatti. The cars must first become certified, requiring customers to submit their Veyrons to go through a technical, physical, and visual checkup to ensure the vehicle is up to Bugatti’s standards.

From there, a variety of service packages can be tailored to the needs of the car and the customer. Some people drive their supercars fairly often, while others baby them as collectibles, and Bugatti will adjust the services to meet different use-case scenarios. The extent of vehicle use presumably determines the price of the service plan, although the company did not release pricing information for the LMP.

Bugatti will officially announce the Loyalty Maintenance Program at the Salon Rétromobile classic-car show in Paris later this week, where it will show off a Veyron 16.4 and a Type 57C Stelvio.
