GUWAHATI: An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the richter scale on Monday night rocked parts of lower Assam. The epicentre of the quake was reported to be at Darrang, Assam.
The tremor was also felt in some parts of Guwahati.
No damage has been reported so far; although people rushed out of multi-storey buildings in several areas of the city.
The quake, which lasted for a few seconds, struck at 10:57pm, Times Now reported.
