Chevy is showing hunters some SEMA love with the Realtree Bone Collector, a collection of factory and concept accessories bolted to a camo-swathed 2016 Chevrolet Silverado High Country 4×4.
The concept truck is signed in several places by Michael Waddell, a “redneck by the grace of God” with a cable television show about a bunch of bearded dudes posing with dead animals. Maybe you’ve seen it. Or not.
Out back, the business end of the Bone Collector Silverado mounts a sport bar with a deer-antler and human-skull cutout motif, lime green LEDs, lime green tie-down hooks, and a raised bed floor, under which is a set of lockable drawers for pointy arrows and other weaponry. A cooler, presumably for Coors Light and freshly carved venison, sits near the cab. The lime-green theme extends to the brake calipers clamping six-piston 16.1-inch rotors, which fill out black 22-inch wheels on burly Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The black sport bar, front push bar, and step bars are part of a new off-road package from Chevrolet Accessories.
Camouflage prints also cover the dashboard, and green stitching brightens the leather seats, console, and steering wheel. Even the instrument panel has a green-tinted plastic cover. The 6.2-liter 420-hp V-8 remains stock, along with the new-for-2015 eight-speed automatic. Do you like these mods? Chevy says it will “evaluate responses and opinions” for possible production, so cock back that keyboard and fire away.
