The Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia are being recalled for defective windshield-wiper motors that can overheat and cause a fire. Some 31,000 vehicles are affected.The problem is limited to 2016 models, and most of the affected vehicles haven’t yet found their way into customers’ hands. For the 6400 that have, GM has advised owners via a recall letter not to use the windshield wipers and to bring their SUVs in for repairs.
But what if it’s raining? GM says if bad weather prevents an owner from bring in his or her SUV, it will have the vehicle picked up.
