Obama address students at the Siri Fort session in Delhi - Times of India

The lucky few who had been selected to attend Obama's address to Delhi students expected him to talk about education, Indo-US relations, climate change and more.

But nobody expected things to take a Bollywood detour the way they did when Obama attempted to bring out his inner SRK. At the Siri Fort session on Tuesday, Obama started with his most comfortable Hindi word, Namaste, and then in his introduction itself, went on to quote the popular Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge dialogue, "Senorita, bade bade deshon mein..."

While he couldn't complete the dialogue and ended with a casual, "you know what I mean", the students couldn't help but cheer for the US president. Vibhor Mathur, a Hindu College student who was present at the session, told us, "He was so charismatic. Just what we expected. And he was saying all these amazing things about how young Indians are going to change the world and how we can make it a better future, etc, that he had the crowd clapping at every second line."

Twitterrati, meanwhile, termed Obama's speech a fitting comeback to Modi's "May The Force Be With You" from Star Wars at Madison Square Garden last year.
