In his eponymous film, The Lego Batman Movie, Lego Batman said, “I have aged phenomenally.” And if they could talk, cars like the Bugatti Atlantic, the Lamborghini Miura, and the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 would rightly say the same. A hot-hatch rally car doesn’t typically end up in the same sentence as two of the most iconic cars ever created, but one hopeful Lego designer has submitted ideas for buildable kits for these and several other classic models.

The Lego brand has become gearhead heaven lately, taking its vehicular efforts to new levels. With releases of kits for Ferraris including the Ferrari F40 and LaFerrari, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the Ford Mustang and F-150 Raptor, the McLaren P1, and the Porsche 918 (just to name a few), brick fanatics can live out their childhood fantasies—at least on a micro level—of owning and working on the cars that once lived on their walls.

Lego also has also allowed fans to get closer than ever before to the set-creation process with Lego Ideas, a central online hub where artists can propose new Lego kits. From there, it’s up to the Lego community to decide whether an idea is worth turning into a real retail production item for sale. Once a single idea gets 10,000 votes of confidence, Lego will render its own judgment and give the thumbs up or down. The platform has spawned numerous new and fantastic ideas for automotive Lego excellence.

The impressive garage of user AbFab1974 was brought to our attention by the CarThrottle website. His proposed creations include legendary supercars like the Bugatti EB110, Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, Lamborghini Diablo and Miura, and the Ferrari F40 and 288GTO, complete with a full Ferrari flagship showroom. He’s also created vehicles from a different part of the auto universe with extremely detailed renderings of the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 and the Lancia Delta S4 Group B rally cars.

As of this writing, most of the projects have around 500 votes each, but the Peugeot and Lancia are currently featured on the Lego Ideas home page and are quickly gaining steam. The Peugeot has nearly 6000 votes, while the Lancia has about 1300. We’ve added our votes of support, and so should you—because we certainly would love to see these awesome builds on store shelves.
