2015 Ferrari LaFerrari

Ferrari Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne has announced that the Italian automaker will build one final example of the LaFerrari. The car will be auctioned, and the proceeds will go toward helping the victims of the earthquake that rocked central Italy on August 24th.

The LaFerrari is the most expensive, highest-performing street vehicle the exotic automaker has ever built. Production of the hybrid, 949-hp hypercar was limited to 499 examples, each with a price tag of $1.3 million. But Ferrari saw an opportunity to help in the wake of the 6.2-magnitude earthquake that rocked central Italy, killing nearly 250 people.

No details have been revealed as to when the car will be completed, or where it will be sold. While LaFerrari production officially ended in 2015, Ferrari is readying itself to start building the LaFerrari Spider, although production numbers and price for the version have not yet been revealed.
