Scribes should find source of rumours: Rajnath Singh - Times of India

LUCKNOW: Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday appeared to leave the job of finding out the source of rumours about his son trying to influence police postings to journalists, saying reporters should find the source of gossip that caused him embarrassment and marked the Centre's first brush with an insalubrious controversy.

"Investigative journalists should find out who was behind spreading the rumours against him (Pankaj). I won't speak anything on the issue now as I have spoken whatever I had to on Wednesday," he said. To another question that he must surely be aware who was behind the rumours, Rajnath gestured upward and said, "Vidhata sab theek karega (everything will be fine by God's grace)."

On whether this was the first allegation against him or his family, he again said it was for journalists to find out.
