With a starting price of $32,800, the 2018 MX-5 Miata RF costs a mere $355 more than last year. That cash nabs buyers the keys to the MX-5 Miata RF Club, which adds heated seats and a proximity key with push-button start to its standard features list, which also includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen information system, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, a smooth 155-hp 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a crisp six-speed manual transmission (a six-speed automatic is also available), and of course, the power-retractable roof panel.
Those looking for more luxury can opt for the Grand Touring trim, which offers niceties such as automatic high-beam headlights, automatic climate control, navigation, and lane-departure warning. At $33,640, the Grand Touring is $145 more expensive than last year.
Option changes include the addition of heated leather seats to the $3770 Brembo/BBS package, which also includes Brembo front brakes and 17-inch BBS wheels. Meanwhile, $300 adds brown leather seats and interior trim to the 2018 MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring.
As before, a six-speed automatic transmission can be subbed in for the standard six-speed manual. Opting for the self-shifting gearbox adds $600 to the Club’s tab and $1075 to the price of the Grand Touring. The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF is on sale now.
