For Bugatti enthusiasts, this is a difficult time. The drip feed of Veyron special editions and one-offs has finally run dry, and yet the Chiron won’t be making its debut until the Geneva auto show this spring. In the interim, however, there is a new temptation for the faithful: a Bugatti yacht.

Monaco-based motor-yacht builder Palmer Johnson is creating a series of Bugatti-branded watercraft. The series is called Niniette, which was Ettore Bugatti’s nickname for his daughter, Lidia. The Niniette will be offered in three sizes: 42-foot, 63-foot, and 88-foot, with a 20-foot beam.

There’s no word on whether a quad-turbo W-16 engine provides the power, but top speed is said to be 38 knots, or 44 mph. The Niniette features a hull of exposed, dark-blue carbon fiber, which contrasts with the titanium upper section to create a two-tone look, just like a roadgoing Bugatti.

Prices start at €2 million (approximately $2.2 million) for the PJ43 Niniette, with the PJ63 Niniette at €3.25 million ($3.55 million), and no figure given for the PJ88 Niniette. For that one, apparently, if you have to ask . . .
