Currently being shown off at San Diego Comic-Con, this life-size dream machine started out identical to the Hot Wheels Twin Mill show car that featured at SEMA in 2014. Mattel says the Batman-and-Superman-inspired livery is “derived from the texture and detail of both characters’ suits, and applied much like carbon fiber.” The bat-wing spoiler and twin engine air scoops hark back to the armor of the Batmobile, while Superman’s crest rides front and center ahead of those dual powerplants.
This isn’t the first time Hot Wheels has built a real-life car inspired by a movie character—recall the Darth Car, a vehicular embodiment of Lord Vader’s helmet capable of 150 mph. Like the Darth Car, you’ll be able to buy your very own Batman v Superman Twin Mill next spring, albeit in 1:64 die-cast form.
