— Omar Abdullah (@abdullah_omar) July 20, 2014 Abdullah's tweets followed an announcement in Jammu by the Congress that it planned to contest this year's Assembly elections on its own.
Assembly polls in the state are due in November.
Earlier in the day, the Congress and NC alliance came to an end with the former announcing that it will go all alone and contest on all 87 seats in the state Assembly elections.
All India Congress Committee general secreatry Ambika Soni said at a press conference here, "We'll contest election on our own. The party will field candidates in all 87 seats in Jammu and Kashmir."
At present the party has 17 members in the state Assembly.
