Toyota has TRD’d all the unlikely things for its 2015 SEMA show display, including the Corolla, Avalon, Sienna, and this car, the sexy SEMA Edition TRD Camry. Yes, we called a Camry sexy. It’s a brave new world, especially SEMA is involved.
Like most of the SEMA Edition TRD models, the Camry XSE-based SEMA Edition TRD Camry wears a coat of shimmery Silver Pearl paint and bronze-painted oversized wheels, in this case measuring 21 X 9.5 inches and wrapped in 255/35 tires. Inside, passengers will savor unique mixed-material black upholstery with red contrast stitching and TRD embroidery.
The body wears a lower front splitter, rocker panel extensions, and a rear diffuser through which two fat chrome tips for the cat-back exhaust system peer alluringly. Up front, the headlamps are smokier than the ceiling above the nickel slots at the Palace Station. Finally, the whole thing has been dropped an inch up front and and 1.5 inches out back courtesy of TRD lowering springs and TRD performance struts.
Don’t expect a Camry looking like this to make it into your local Toyota showroom any time soon. Should you want to create your own, however, most of the mods are available through the extensive TRD catalog.
