Atleast twenty children killed and over a dozen were injured on Thursday morning after a train rammed into a school bus at an unmanned railway crossing in Medak district near Hyderabad.

The accident occurred at Masayapeta when the driver let the bus move onto the train tracks. The Nanded passenger train, which came at the same time, rammed into the bus and dragged it for over two hundred meters.
The accident site presents gory scenes with mangled remains of the bus and the bodies of the children strewn around the tracks.
The injured were moved to nearby hospitals in Kompally, Tupran. There were about 40 kids on the bus of Kakatiya School. The death toll could rise.
Telangana chief minister K Chadrasekhara Rao expressed his shock over the incident and rushed his ministers to the spot who are now participating in rescue etc operations.
